At a glance
Course character
Opened in 1976, Izu Ohito Country Club is arranged as the Fuji, Hakone and Amagi nines. The official course describes generous fairways, natural valleys and carefully placed bunkers across a hill-course setting within the Izu landscape. Its 27-hole format and full practice facilities make it practical for organised groups as well as golfers building a multi-round Izu stay.
Design — Issuke Izumi
Representative holes
The official Fuji-course guide highlights the opening tee shot toward Mount Fuji; the three-nine format is the more important itinerary distinction than any single signature hole.
