Taiheiyo Club Narita Course

太平洋クラブ 成田コース

Designed by Gary Player, this 18-hole, par-72 Narita course uses woodland, level marshland, grassland, creeks and deep sod-faced bunkers to create a distinctive strategic test.

Three key characteristics

  • Gary Player design with later renovation by Norio Honma.
  • A 6,581-yard, par-72 course with JGA rating 71.7.
  • Creeks, water and deep sod-faced bunkers shape the closing challenge.

Course overview

Designed by Gary Player and later renovated by Norio Honma, Taiheiyo Club Narita Course opened on 2 October 1999. The 18-hole, par-72 routing measures 6,581 yards from the back tees and 6,235 yards from the regular tees. Natural woodland, level marshland and grassland define the setting, while creeks, water hazards and deep sod-faced bunkers give the course its identity.

Terrain and layout

The routing follows natural woodland bands separated by level marshland and grassland, with limited earth movement described by the official course page.

Strategy and difficulty

The course is not exceptionally long, but water, creeks and deep bunkers demand direction and approach control. Holes 13 through 18 form a particularly demanding closing sequence.
