Luxury Family Golf Journey
Mt Fuji, Hakone, Kawana & Tokyo
A nine-day private journey for four family members, built around five distinctive golf experiences and culminating at Kawana Hotel Golf Course Fuji Course, ranked No. 62 in GOLF Magazine’s 2025–2026 World Top 100 Courses. Five-star stays, a private onsen retreat, Kawana’s historic golf resort, private transportation and dining tailored to the guests’ preferences bring the complete journey together.
THE BRIEF
A World Top 100 Course at the Heart of the Journey
This journey was not designed simply to fit in five rounds. Its route and stays lead progressively towards Kawana Hotel Golf Course Fuji Course, ranked No. 62 in GOLF Magazine’s 2025–2026 World Top 100 Courses and the defining golf destination of the trip.
Miramar coordinated course locations, tee-time logistics, daily driving distances, accommodation standards, companion activities and dinner preferences across Fuji Gotemba, the Fuji Five Lakes, Hakone Gora, Izu Kawana and Tokyo. The golfers could concentrate on the courses while accompanying family members enjoyed purposeful days of their own.
From the five-star Fuji Speedway Hotel and a Hakone retreat with a private open-air bath to Kawana’s classic seaside golf hotel and The Peninsula Tokyo, every stay supports the next course, regional experience and dining plan.
JOURNEY OVERVIEW
From Mt Fuji Forest Golf to World Top 100 Kawana
Rather than making long daily returns from Tokyo, the journey moves with the courses and accommodation. Two rounds around Mt Fuji lead to one in Hakone, followed by the Oshima Course after checking into Kawana Hotel and a final round on World Top 100 Kawana Fuji before three nights in Tokyo.
PARALLEL EXPERIENCES
Different Days, One Family Journey
Golf Experience
Five rounds follow the direction of travel: woodland golf at the northern foot of Mt Fuji, natural terrain around Fuji and Hakone, then Kawana’s Oshima Course before the journey culminates on World Top 100 Kawana Fuji.
Companion Experience
While the golfers play, family members can explore Lake Kawaguchi, Oshino Hakkai, Lake Yamanaka, Gotemba, Sengokuhara, Hakone museums, the Izu coast, and Tokyo shopping, dining and cultural experiences.
Days are tailored to different interests, with everyone reuniting at the same hotel each evening to share accommodation, dining and the day’s experiences.
FIVE ROUNDS
Five Distinctive Courses, Culminating at World Top 100 Kawana Fuji
The five rounds form a progression rather than a checklist: from Mt Fuji woodland and natural terrain to a Hakone highland championship course and Kawana’s two coastal courses, finishing with World Top 100 Kawana Fuji.

Narusawa Golf Club
Set in woodland at the northern foot of Mt Fuji, Narusawa is framed by red pine and white birch. The terrain is relatively gentle, but ponds, bunkers, green surrounds and landing areas demand clear strategic decisions.
View Course
GORA KADAN FUJI GOLF
Set in the natural foothills of Mt Fuji, the club combines the Kagosaka and Fuji courses. Forest corridors and natural slopes introduce distance, uneven lies, green reading and strategic variety.
View Course
Daihakone Country Club
An 18-hole, par-73 championship course on the Sengokuhara highlands, where length, bunkering, rough and layered green complexes create a varied challenge.
View Course
Kawana Hotel Golf Course Oshima Course
Following the natural contours of the Izu coast, the Oshima Course uses GPS-equipped carts, self-play and through play. It introduces the rhythm of a stay-and-play experience at Kawana.

Kawana Hotel Golf Course Fuji Course
Ranked No. 62 in GOLF Magazine’s 2025–2026 World Top 100 Courses.
Designed by C.H. Alison across the natural contours of the Izu coast, the Fuji Course brings together sea breezes, Sagami Bay views, deep-faced Alison bunkers, dramatic terrain and traditional walking golf with a caddie.

Five-Star Accommodation as Part of the Journey
Accommodation was selected for service, regional character, access to the next course and overall comfort: a five-star Mt Fuji stay, a Hakone retreat with a private open-air bath, Kawana’s historic seaside golf hotel and a five-star base in central Tokyo.

Fuji Speedway Hotel
Two nights at the five-star Fuji Speedway Hotel provide Mt Fuji views, onsen bathing, an indoor pool, fitness facilities and dining spaces. It gives the family time to recover after arrival before continuing naturally into the region’s golf and sightseeing.

Hakone Gora KARAKU
A high-floor room with a private open-air bath anchors the night in Hakone Gora, with a kaiseki dinner and breakfast included. The room, onsen and Japanese dining become an important part of the journey after golf.

Kawana Hotel
Two nights connect directly with the Oshima and Fuji courses. Staying at Kawana avoids a long transfer on the World Top 100 golf day and allows the family to experience the hotel’s classic architecture, Izu coast views and historic resort atmosphere.

The Peninsula Tokyo
Three nights at the five-star The Peninsula Tokyo complete the journey with a high-quality central base for sightseeing, shopping, refined dining and rest, maintaining the same standard of service through the final stage.
PRIVATE DINING
Each Evening Planned Around the Guests
A top-tier private journey depends on more than courses and hotels. Dinner plans can be shaped around taste, budget, location and the day’s schedule, from premium Japanese wagyu yakiniku and omakase sushi to kaiseki, refined hotel dining and Michelin-starred restaurants.
Miramar assists after confirming party size, dietary restrictions, preferred dining style and budget. Particular restaurants, omakase counters and Michelin-starred venues remain subject to date and availability and cannot be guaranteed.
