Course overview
Arima sits next to Taiheiyo Club's Rokko Course but has a more relaxed character. Rather than using length as its main defence, it asks for attention around bunkers, narrowed landing areas and the approaches into guarded greens. Good scoring is available, yet a poorly chosen line can quickly change the round.
Terrain and layout
The 18 holes are divided into two par-36 nines. The back tees measure 6,505 yards and the regular tees 6,135. The hilly setting mixes relatively open views with holes where a gulch or boundary line influences the preferred landing zone. Green surrounds are visually clear but rarely passive.
Strategy and difficulty
The short par-five fourth has out of bounds running toward the green on both sides, so accuracy matters more than raw distance from the tee. The downhill, longer par-four 16th discourages an over-ambitious line over the trees, while its two-tier green changes with the pin position. Preserve the next angle before chasing birdie.

The Arima Course opened under its current identity in 1996, designed by Seizo Tomisawa and remodelled by Norio Honma. Its distinction is not dependent on a headline tournament record: the combination of approachable distance and persistent greenside defence gives it lasting repeat-play appeal.

Route planning
The official site places the course 7 km from Yokawa IC and about 45 minutes from Osaka. JR Sanda is around 20 minutes by taxi and Shin-Kobe around 35 minutes. A reservation-only club bus operates on weekends and holidays subject to the current timetable. Sanda, Kobe and Arima Onsen are logical bases.
